Doctors Receiving Fraudulent Bills for Medical Supplies - Please Report to FBI
An MSDC member reported receiving a fraudulent invoice for medical supplies that were neither ordered nor received. It appears that other doctors are receiving similar invoices on letterhead from "Pinnacle Medical" (Click here to see a sample invoice).
MSDC advises physicians and their staff to be alert to such scams targeting physicians. Carefully review invoices so that you do not inadvertently pay a fraudulent invoice. If you receive such an invoice, you may report it to the FBI at www.ic3.gov
Note: A recorded message at the provided phone number says "If you are receiving an invoice from Pinnacle in the Houston location, please disregard it . Be advised no payment is due. We are no longer operating in the city of Houston and can only be reached by email." The mailing address appears to be for USGlobalMail, an international mail forwarding service that provides a physical, US address.
