All are invited to a social on Thursday, February 8 celebrating women in medicine and National Women Physicians Day.  National Women Physicians Day (NWPD) honors the pioneering achievements and ongoing contributions of female physicians in the field of health care and takes place on the birthday of Elizabeth Blackwell, MD, who, in 1849, became the first American woman to earn a medical degree. Taking place the week of NWPD, this happy hour will celebrate the women physicians who have made and continue to make “herstory” in the field of medicine. A variety of international foods and drinks will be available for purchase.
