How can you most effectively speak with a Councilmember's office to share your perspective as a physician, caregiver, and medical professional? Join MSDC over dinner to learn how.
The MSDC Advocacy Dinner and Discussion is a new program to talk through physician advocacy. During the evening, you and your peers will discuss tips and tricks on how to be an effective physician advocate, with a focus on working with the DC Council. While this event is part of Council Lobbying Day on March 10, participation in that event is not required to sign-up for this one. The format of the event is currently under consideration based on the public health situation in March. Regardless of whether it is in-person or virtual (or hybrid), it will be an event not to miss. You will hear from physicians experienced in meeting with Councilmembers what to expect and how they succeeded in sharing their message. MSDC staff and leadership will also walk attendees through the top physician priorities as identified by MSDC members and how to speak convincingly about them to a Councilmember and their staff. Included will be time for networking, sharing, and discussion.
