Join MSDC and the Private Practice Physician Section for our first annual DC Council Lobby Day! While the Wilson Building is not yet fully open for visitors, MSDC is arranging for you, our physician member, to have your voice heard in the halls of the Council. All day MSDC is arranging appointments with Councilmembers and their staff to give you an opportunity to share your experiences and asks as a physician. You and a group of your colleagues will meet with Councilmembers' offices to discuss topics important to the practice of medicine. How will you participate? MSDC staff will create meeting sign-ups beginning in mid-February. If you see a meeting time that works for your calendar, and it is with a Councilmembers' office of interest, there will be a sign-up form for you to indicate your interest in joining the meeting. Staff will guide you through logistics the day of the event to ensure you (virtually) get where you need to be.
How do you know what topics and talking points to discuss? You will have attended our Advocacy Dinner and Discussion the previous evening, where MSDC staff will train you on how to have a good meeting with the Council. Registration on this site is to participate in Council visits, the sign-up form for specific meetings will be shared with registrants. |
